Coffee In Tanzania

The Producer: Sucafina Tanzania

This coffee is produced by varioius smallholders whose farms sit in the shade of the highest mountain in Africa. Coffee has been grown in Tanzania as far back as the 16the Century, when it was grown by the Haya tribe of the Northwest of the country.

Sucafina Tanzania invests in the quality and sustainability of the product. This is through improved agricultural techniques, and also ensuring an ever-improving quality of life for its member producers.

Tanzania Kilimanjaro: About The Coffee

We find a light, orange acidity and a soft cocoa bitterness- particularly when brewed as an espresso. Prepare with a small amount of milk (think cortado or flat white) and you’ll find a sweet, well rounded macadamia nut body.

Kilimanjaro also works very well as a filter coffee, where more floral notes become apparent.

      Hi Peter,

Thank you for your feedback regarding the Tanzania Kilimanjaro Coffee. This is one of our many medium coffee roasts, however there may be a number of reasons why the coffee might taste milder than expected. These can include brewing time, brew method and/or grind size. It would be great to hear a little more feedback regarding your experience with this product.

Alternatively, there are a number of darker roasts available here: Darker roasts

      Kind regards,
      Matt

I enjoy medium roast coffees with low acidity. This is a very light and delightful coffee that I can drink a litre of and not get the coffee shakes! Yum!

  4. Marie (verified owner)

This is my second sampling of this coffee. I use the beans and like the depth of taste you can achieve when brewing. It is a good coffee for any time of day.

  5. Robin Rogers (verified owner)

Provides the nice medium roast flavour advertised. Lovely for my large morning coffee (also suits a dash of the sugar free vanilla syrup!)
