About The Farm / Cultivation

Ethiopia Gotiti is produced in southern Ethiopia approximately 12 kilometers from Yirgacheffe town. The area sita at the hearts of one of Ethiopia’s most recognised coffee origins and is known for producting coffees of expecptional clairty and aromatic complexity. The conbination of elevation, rainfall patterns and heirloom varietal diversity has made Yirgacheffe one of the most studied and celebrated coffee areas in the world.

This coffee is grown by 350 smallholder farmers surrounding the Gotiti washing station, which serves as the central collection and processing site. Farms in this part of Yirgacheffe are typically small and less than 2 hectares. The high altitude of 2300 masl, combined with cool temperatures, rich red-brown soils, and reliable rainfall, slows cherry maturation and contributes to the dense bean structure and complex flavour profile that yirgacheffe coffees are known for.

ethiopia gotiti: tasting notes and brew recipes

Why do we like it?

Gotiti is floral, interesting and clean.

Expect a bright, juicy cup with notes of black grape, lemon and elderflower. The natural processing method enhances the fruit-forward complexity whilst maintaining a smooth, clean finish.
