Espresso Blend: Balanced, bright, smooth
Created in the image of some of the classic espresso blends found on the high street. Our Espresso Blend is as it sounds: a classic espresso for lovers of a classic coffee flavour. It is chiefly built out from Colombian beans, which bring a roasted nut and syrupy quality to the brew, developing a smooth mouthfeel and a rich, nutty sweetness.
The addition of a small percentage of Ethiopian beans results in a slight brightness of acidity, which serves to keep the espresso sweet and juicy, but doesn’t go far enough to make it taste fruity.
Brewing Fundamentals
You’ll want to brew somewhere around 17-18g of espresso and aim for an output that means around a 1:2 or 1:2.5 ratio, meaning your espresso should weigh around 35-45g. Somewhere in the region of 25 seconds is appropriate but this blend is easy to work with so anywhere from 20 to 30 seconds could work depending on your taste.

Nice strong taste but very little bitterness. Mellow after taste which lingers. Very good crema head on making in a bean to cup machine.

Seemed lacking in flavour and a bit bland for us. The Classico blend is the best coffee we have had so it had a high bench mark to beat.
