Creating a solid, consistent tamp is important for creating consistent, quality espresso. The tamp represents one of three variables needed to control so that the coffee in the group handle extracts correctly. The wooden handle allows for a firm but comfortable grip with a stainless steel base, making it effective to apply the right amount of pressure on to the coffee.
