Written and practical skills tests will be completed with a 70% pass rate required. Passing will result in 10 points towards to SCA Coffee Diploma.
Duration: 2 days (6 hours per day)
An in-depth understanding of espresso extraction and key flavour components, identifying a range of traits an espresso holds and how to control them (brew ratio and bypass). The course looks at particular areas of green coffee that relate to nuanced flavours such as wet and natural processing.
Baristas should now feel more confident behind a coffee machine so aspects like latte art will be introduced. Take a further look at machine maintenance and other areas of café management including customer service. Best for working baristas who wish to develop their skills further.
Our coffee school courses are run in partnership with SCA authorised trainer Andreas Constantinou. His knowledge and flair helped him introduce speciality coffee to various coffee shops and restaurants throughout the North West.
