The Hario Polaris scales make brewing pour over filter coffee simple. It offers the perfect solution to having to calculate the volumes of water to use in your manual filter brews by using the amount of ground coffee you use and telling you how much water is needed for that coffee. Simply zero your scales with your equipment on, add your ground coffee and select your desired ratio (13-15 for light-medium, 15-18 for medium-dark) and the Polaris scales automatically tells you how much water you will need to brew with.

Enter brewing mode and start pouring and the Polaris scales will automatically tell you how far through the brew you are as a percentage, as you pour. The built in timer runs automatically alongside so you can monitor if your grind size is resulting in the desired brew time. Once you’ve used them you won’t want to be brewing any other way.
