About The Ceado Hoop:
The Hoop is perfect for those who enjoy pour-over coffee (think Chemex or V60) comparatively however, we think there’s less of a learning curve with the Hoop. As long as your brew ratio, grind size and water temperature are correct, you’ll be able to achieve a great cup of coffee with a single pour.
Brewing Style:
The Hoop uses a unique radial infusion style. Rather than pouring directly over the coffee grounds, water is poured into the outer loop and enters the flow tower laterally via small holes around the bottom. This creates guaranteed even saturation and consistent extraction. Its design prevents the bypass effect from happening as water is forced to flow through the coffee before entering in contact with the paper filter. A perfect tool for beginner right through to professional level baristas.
– Put the paper filter inside the outer loop and screw the flow tower onto the outer loop.
-Wet the filter paper and place the Hoop on top of your cup / jug.
-Add your ground coffee inside the flow tower and pour your water into the outer loop.
-Wait until all of the water passes through. This should take no more than 4 minutes.
Brew Recipe & Grind Size:
-Filter grind with the appearance of sand or caster sugar
-We recommend starting with 17g / 225ml water.
-Change one variable at a time to achieve desired flavour
-The maximum suggested dose is 20g
